Thank you for taking the time to learn about Operation Overwatch and our mission. As a 501c3 nonprofit organization, we rely on the support from people and organizations like you to engage in our fight against PTSD, the need for mobility assistance, the costs associated with Service Dogs and in helping people learn about the effects of a properly selected and trained Service Dog.
Our mission is threefold: First, we are rescuing dogs and training them to be service animals. Second, we match these animals up with a deserving veteran or first responder that needs assistance in mitigating the effects of PTSD, TBI, mobility assistance, etc. Finally, we want to bring awareness to the problems and solutions that this campaign is addressing, from the tens of thousands of dogs euthanized annually to the 22 veterans that commit suicide daily. From the needs of the warriors, to the needs of the dogs…and how they can help each other.
“Healing at Both Ends of the Leash” is what we aim to do. Currently, Service Dogs can range in price from $10,000 to $27,000, which makes it difficult to place these dogs with people that need them. We know this and have incorporated cost saving measures, efficient training techniques, a unique selection process and the business guidance from some of the best people in the business world. All of this leads to less waste of time, cash and resources and allows us to put more dog teams together to make a difference in the lives of those that have selflessly put their lives ahead of ours.
Join us in our efforts to bring awareness, rescue dogs and help people. Help us help others. Join the Overwatch!
